(A joke) A Story about a lion

This is an old story which I re-write in my own style, because I want to tell about the value we may learn from this story.

Once upon a time, there was a lion. the lion was very brave and unafraid of anything. The lion had the luxuriant feather, sharp-eyed, sharp-teeth, sharp paws, and a strong body. The lion was the charismatic leader of his group.

One day, the lion felt very happy with himself, so he decided to go for a walk in the jungle. He entered the jungle and few minutes he spent his time, he met a beautiful bird who be perched on a branch of a big tree. The bird was singing sweetly and all of the inhabitant of the jungle like the bird's voice.

Then the lion asked the beautiful bird, "Beautiful bird, who is the king of the jungle?"

The beautiful bird answered with passiveness , "You are." Then the bird continued her song.

The lion felt even happier. The lion was proud of himself. Then the lion walked and left the beautiful bird, went farther inside. Then the lion met a smart monkey. The monkey was hanging on the tree. The lion was coming near to the monkey. "The smart monkey, who is the king of the jungle?" asked the lion . "You are the king of the jungle." Answered the monkey and went away to the next high branch.

Next, the lion came to a big river. In the river was sitting a big crocodile. "Who is the king of the jungle?" the lion asked the crocodile. "You are, of course" answered the crocodile and swam away. The lion continued his walk in the jungle. All the animals he met agreed that the lion was the King of the jungle.

Finally the lion met an elephant. "Who is the king of the jungle?" asked the lion to the elephant. The elephant didn't say anything but he picked up the lion in his enormous trunk, and threw him into the air. "All right, all right," said the lion, "Don't get angry just because you don't know the answer." The lion then just went away from the elephant.

From this story, we can learn about ourselves.

We may be like the beautiful bird, who just though everything in passiveness.

We may be like the smart monkey who was smart but still afraid to face any challenge.

We may be like the crocodile who has wits and power in his own territory but still afraid.

We also may be like the lion, with our greatness and luxury and proud of these all only in our own home, but when we face the true fact, we act as we still the most important person arrogantly even we know that we are nothing without anyone else.

But we may be like the elephant, wise and calm, never show himself and not arrogant even he knows that he is worth to be proud of himself.
